Looks nice, but, why to the landing legs slant inward?  I'd think this would make them less stable than they could be>?

Comment by Gary McCray on September 1, 2016 at 7:01pm

+1 Rob on less stability, legs will show more in camera view also.

I guess it can land on a smaller landing pad.

Looks like it might be easy to redesign to permit either or both to inside or outside.

Maybe even just rotate mount 180 degrees and lock.

Just a thought.

Best Regards,

@Rob  -- there is not such a big selection of professional platforms in this size range TBH. It is lighter than a Phantom I think. The consumer side of things looks like a real race to the bottom in pricing.  In any event it is just great to see an interesting design maybe coming to market that is supporting Ardupilot.

Rob. Right now we have new legs. Its very easy to change to another legs. So depending to payload you can change and modificating legs. Also we have version with folding in flight legs. Right now in unfolding position the size is 550mm, weight 1.4kg and can carry 1kg of payload .

@Ivan -- the commercial one looks to be plastic rather than CF. Or is that just the prototype?

No, its a real one made from carbon fibre and paint to military gray color.

It's a Tri, and that's cool in itself.

The return of the Tris, that are definitively cool for weight and portability , if foldable, I would be curious to know if you guys have done some MTBF testing on the yaw servo over the long run :)
