  • This is a TI Solution DAVINCI Module for Megapixel IP Cameras. There are 2 different TI modules DM368 and DM365. The DM368 is for 1080P IP Camera products and it can usded to make 2 series 1080P IP cameras: M series and G series. The DM365 is for 960P/720P IP Camera products and it can usded to make 2 series 960P/720P IP cameras: H series and F series. W series is our Megapixel IP Cameras with Wireless(Wi-Fi) function and indoor usage.

M series 1080P IP Camera products of AOTE TEK use the TI DAVINCI DM368 and 1/2.5 inch 5.0 Megapixel progressive CMOS sensor(Main Stream support: 2592X1920@10fps(5.0MP), 2048X1536(3.0MP)@17fps and 1920X1080@25fps) as the basis to make high quality Full HD Real Time 1080P 25fps 5MP 5.0 Megapixel CMOS ONVIF H.264 IP Cameras. The unique feature of M series 1080P IP Cameras is the 2592X1920@10fps(5.0MP) Video support

G series 1080P IP Camera products of AOTE TEK use the TI DAVINCI DM368 and 1/2.5 inch 3.0 Megapixel progressive WDR CMOS sensor(Main Stream support: 2048X1536 (3.0MP)@17fps and 1920X1080@25fps) as the basis to make high quality Full HD Real Time 1080P 25fps 3MP 3.0 Megapixel WDR(Wide Dynamic Range) CMOS ONVIF H.264 IP Cameras. The unique feature of G series 1080P IP Cameras is the WDR(Wide Dynamic Range) WDR (The Wide Dynamic Range)function of a camera is intended to provide clear images even under back light circumstances where intensity of illumination can vary excessively, namely when there are both very bright and very dark areas simultaneously in the field of view of the camera. WDR enables the capture and display of both bright and dark areas in the same frame, in a way that there are details in both areas, i.e. bright areas are not saturated, and dark areas are not too dark.

H series 960P/720P IP Camera products of AOTE TEK use the TI DAVINCI DM365 and 1/2.5 inch 3.0 Megapixel Low Lux progressive CMOS sensor(Main Stream support: 2048X1536 (3.0MP)@14fps and 1920X1080@17fps 1280X960 25fps(1.3MP) as the basis to make high quality Full HD Real Time 960P/720P 25fps 3MP 30 Megapixel LOW LUX CMOS ONVIF H.264 IP Cameras. The unique feature of H series 960P/720P IP Cameras is the LOW LUX. Low Lux For a camera without IR-Cut(infrared) and Low Lux function, it can not work in a dark circumstances because lack of enough light. For a camera with IR-Cut(infrared) but without Low Lux function, the IR (infrared) light will turn on automatically in the dark circumstances and it can get black and white video(Of course people can find the infrared light easily because they are red and obvious in the darkness). For a camera without IR-Cut (infrared) but with Low Lux function, it also can get color and relatively clear video in the dark and if the circumstance is VERY dark, the video will became black and white to keep its clearness and quality. It is difficult for people to find the Low Lux camera(without IR-Cut) in the dark because it does not produce light. Our 1080P M series and G series and 960P&720P H series IP Cameras have 2 different versions: Basic Version and Complete Version. Complete Version has the complete interfaces for 2-way audio, USB storage, Alarm device and RS-485 PTZ control to be completely all functional for professional security engineering contractors and security system integrators.

F series 960P&720P IP Camera products of AOTE TEK use the TI DAVINCI DM365 and 1/4 inch 1.3 Megapixel progressive CMOS sensor(Main Stream support: 1280X960 25fps(1.3MP) as the basis to make high quality Full HD Real Time 960P&720P 25fps 1.3 Megapixel CMOS ONVIF H.264 IP Cameras. F series cameras have only Basic(B) version.

Considering different usage of different TI Solution Megapixel IP Cameras in different conditions, our 1080p/960P/720P IP Camera products have different IR distances(from 15m to 120m), different fixed lens sizes, different housings such as box/bullet/dome/high speed dome, POE(Power over Ethernet) or not, PTZ device or not, Optical Zoom or not, Wireless(Wi-Fi) or not. W series is our Megapixel IP Cameras with Wireless(Wi-Fi) function and indoor usage. Since we need to set up the wireless router and bind W series cameras to the wireless router, customer needs to let us know the detailed usage requirement on the wireless video transmission so we can let the customer know which wireless router is suitable. As you can see in our documents, we choose the famous D-LINK brand and its DIR series wireless routers to work with our W series Wireless(Wi-Fi) Megapixel IP Cameras.

I have the HackHD! Find more info at my blog: cpvrc.wordpress.com

  • Why is it saying 2Mpixel on the lens?

  • @Gerard Toonstra Hmm thanks for that detailed suggestion I got interested in this product at first but thanks to u i'm not going to buy it now

  •   Totally exposed circuit boards, a lens mounted directly to a circuit board instead of a hardshell case. What could possible go wrong in a crash.

Well, people could have a look at the HackHD... http://www.hackhd.com/ I am getting one, its on its way and I will report back! It can record onboard HD video to a SDXC card while outputting live SD video to a FPV Tx. Quality in my opinion is comparable to a GoPro.

  • I'm not going to argue that you can do it.. the military does it...it's just a silly idea if a faster and cheaper analog system exists.  I've flown an AR drone before.  That was highly unpleasant experience.  I have a 600L NTSC camera on my machine.  Unless I was going to get into the OLED HD video goggles I can't really see the point other than "it can be done".  It also shouldn't be done by someone just starting out.  You are obviously quite experienced.

  • @Burraak: 8 Mbps is good for static video, where the number of pixels changing is limited. Regular flight with 720p already generates peaks up to 12Mbps, so this would be very limited. Sounds like a great camera to monitor parking places, but with this limitation I wouldn't buy it and expect 1080p video at good qualities. I saw another video of another similar camera and motion blur in quick movements was just horrendous.

Regarding mil systems... some time ago, they used DVB-S, which enemies could patch into from the ground and with some reasonable antennas. Since then, everything was upgraded a bit and more investments made into relay stations. The lag they encountered was around 1.5s. You can calculate this yourself by researching the path in km's to the satellites and back again and how long it takes for light to get there (return trip). Then of course the control signal has to travel the same path backwards.

@David: You can fly with a single camera and a single transmitter for FPV too. A lag of 150ms is still reasonable, although one has to deal with short-lived outages and start to consider stabilized flight systems and autopilots or RTH systems to be able to bring the plane back a bit in these outages. A recorder onboard does guarantee better quality video (15Mb/s@1080p/30fps), so the question should be whether the pilot requires it or not.

  • The military drones have serious video lag.  It's one of the reasons why the events of
"Black Hawk Down" happened.  They also have very very good autopilot systems.

I would say that if you want to transmit HD you need an HD transmitter.  Most of us just have a recording camera on the plane and an FPV camera for flying.  We then recover the video from the memory card on the ground.
