It's customary and traditional that we celebrate the addition of every 1,000 new members here and share the traffic stats. This time it's 65,000!!!!
There were approximately 1.5 million page views in the last month! (we now get around 50,000 page views a day on average). It took us just 26 days to add these latest 1,000 members--we're averaging one new member every 37 minutes!
Thanks as always to all the community members who make this growth possible, and especially to the administrators and moderators who approve new members, blog posts and otherwise respond to questions and keep the website running smoothly.

I am glad to see more visitors to DIY Drones! I truly think the NING platform has served us well, but it is time to consider a more up-to-date web app platform. Something that integrates all of the awesome new developments we are seeing through 3DR (I think it is beautiful that they, as a company, put such a high value on the community still).
I would like to see a mobile first overhaul of diy drones, perhaps something bootstrap based.
Only for courious, how many users are active the last year, how many are female? and how many from Argentine? :)
Best part of an entire day with Ning down and intermittent issues with the platform during the month don't help either. Most of our users are smash and grab they come and get what they need and disappear. Only a handful stay around to help others!
I wonder what the active user count is between Oct 2012 and now. Guesses would be more less active users or a small group of very active users? But not much difference in active users over the last 2years?

Thanks for sharing this data Thomas. Cheers!
Sorry about the graphics being hard to read. It looks like a NING issue.
