I waited until I was able to get the Bixler Chassis installed before I went out on a flight with my APM 2.5+. Once I turned it on, the uBlox got position really fast. It was really windy today. I took off in manual mode, flipped the switch to "Stabilize" and it leveled off like a champ. I alternated between Manual and Stabilize for a while, then I switched to RTL and it performed perfectly! Really glad I got the Chassis, because it made attaining the CG super simple. Thanks to everyone that helped to answer my questions. Looking forward to many more flights.

Mike, This location is at: 33 43 36 N 111 49 23 W (East end of Jomax Rd. on the north side of Tom's Thumb in McDowell Mtn Park). Would love to fly over the McDowell Mtns, but I'm afraid of getting fined:)

Not sure it would fit the Bixler 2. I hear that the Bixler 2 canopy is larger than Bixler 1.x, which is what I have. Question for you, Darrell - How long did it take you to get the Bixler 2 from Hobby King? Seems like there is a strong demand for that model.
Flying a Bixler ARF 1.1 w/ 30A ESC, 2200 mah lipo, 2220kv motor.
I did change modes very often as I wanted to make sure it performed as expected. Went out today with a mission programmed in and it worked well. I did have a little anxiety as it flew away until it banked into the first turn as it headed from way point 1 to wp 2:) After changing out batteries and trying a second flight - I discovered a loose connection on the ESC:(. Had to abort today's session earlier than I wanted.

Where were you flying? I live in Scottsdale az well (Shea/Via Linda) I can tell it's in the general area, but don't recognize the roadway...
