We're delighted to announce the new APM 2.5+, which is the same APM 2.5 board you know and love but surrounded by lots of new goodness! Now, for a new lower price of $179, it comes with all this, right out of the box:
Oh, and did I mention that we also lowered the price of APM 2.5 by $20 at the same time?? This is all thanks to our new production facilities in Tijuana, which allow us to make an increased volume of products at higher quality and lower prices. We're even adding a new Manncorp four-head pick-and-place machine there to handle even higher volume!
If you don't have a voltage/current sensor, the data in the Mission Planner will not be correct.
Credit to Alan Sanchez for the enclosure design. He's our Solidworks master.
To the ones asking about the Power Module compatibility with APM 2.0, the module has pads on the underside for 5.3V, current and voltage signals. So you can solder your own wires and connect it like you would the AttoPilot sensor. It's a bit hacky but APM 2.0 owners are not left out.
The first thing I did when I received my APM1 was label all the pins included color coding for +,-, and signal, and I've done on all my boards since then, it's the best investment in avoiding future screw ups. I love seeing this information added to the enclosure, but why didn't you label the sensor/control pins 0-13?
Joshua, they are labeled on the side of the enclosure, not visible in the photo :)
would have been nice to know this is coming before i ordered apm2.5 a week ago....:-(
Sam, thanks for the clarification, this is perfect then!
Theo, read the post again-
"(customers who already have an APM 2.5 are eligible for a coupon code to get a free enclosure with their next order. Email sales@3drobotics.com if you don't already have one)"
Looks great! For those in the UK, we will be selling the ArduPilot Mega 2.5+ kits at our store next week
