This is more big. The flight isn't very stabilize, but it can't crash^_^

I try test a concept of practical flying car.
If you interesting for it, hope we try it together. You can found all source and manual in https://code.google.com/p/single-powerout-aircar/
Probably it became a real flying car :D Or still is a strange flying model ;) However we can try it.

  • HoHo, GFS-UAV was real like UFO, it's so cute. Why it's bottom is empty? Can we take some thing in it? for example cab and pack. Do not upset it's stability of fly?

  • One thing not clear from his website or the pics is if he is just using a TX and HIL (human in the loop) control.

With some electronics the platform might be more stable...maybe even an APM in Stablized mode?

  • Exactly, less wasted energy using that in the design.

  • A cone shaped floor is exactly what I was thinking.

...but an angled floor would bias the airflow toward one opening or the other, unless you had a more complicated, even sloping cone shape.(?)

  • What if you try angling the floor toward each opening? That way the air isn't hitting a flat area wasting entry.

Reminds me a little of member Jean-Louis Naudin 's saucer.

Lift was acheived using Coanda effect rather than ducting, but it looked sorta similiar.
