My New Frame For The APM

a6752179-201-P5090047.JPG?width=300Anyways I ordered a new frame for the apm

well after several weeks the wrong one arrived

although its not bad, I wanted the round center plate frame style as an alternative to the frame styles I own already

anyway here s a mockup for placement of the APM the apm will end up inside once I find my short usb extension so programming is easy

and finally folded

the one I wanted resembles a tarot 650 frame

I emailed goodluckbuy but don't see me paying to have this shipped back to wait two more months before I can use a frame

  • there's a size comparison between the HJ-Alien and HT-FPV

  • + The one Toutoune has, has the holes on the mounts for the X8 configuration. With the batterie and the 3axies gimbal and the Gopro : 2.2kg as i remember

  • Toutoune06 how i work with has this frame - the interior is quite small so it is quite difficult to get all the electronic inside, but it is nicely made with Tarot-rc plastic parts (so it is easy to repare if you brake some-just order them on thier site directly) and carbon plates.

Toutoune has a Pixhawk inside but just flew 8 secondes because of the pixhawk bugging - we are waiting for a replacement right now - see the picts :

  • These look like very nice frames (the one in this post and the ones in the link provided). If you're interested in this frame type, HobbyKing stock two frames very similar. I have the HobbyKing Alien 560 and have had a good experience with it so far. If you would like to see the build (sorry Charles, I'm not trying to hijack your post), here is the link: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=55348

I am now running a $40 HK brushless gimbal (can use camera up to 200 grams) and I'm shocked by the quality for $40. The thing works so well!

  • Nice frame ! could u post the link ?

  • I got almost the same frame just with another landing skid system from ebay. With mine came all together 10 motor mounting plates and 10 ESC mounting plates for the arm, so no problem making it an X8. However, I want to mount the Pixhawk inside and found that it's not high enough to mount it with the stock foam :(. Trying HK gyro mount foam now.

But the frame construction is very cool!

  • yeah if you had 4 more top motor mount plates because the bottom ones don't have the mount holes for motors
