Swarming Solos over Berkeley

Just a teaser from this week's 3DR hackathon: swarming Solos running ROS doing and autonomous lightshows in the skies over Berkeley. You can script the geometries (circles, with moving center points and radius, and any other shapes) and the AI allocates the drones accordingly to populate the shapes and avoid each other. Much more soon!

  • Ill be sure to contact them, thank you so much! This is in mexico and regulations are a bit easier to work with here! :)

Intel has not released it for sale. They just operate a fleet themselves for promotional purposes.

Drone shows require regulatory approval and a huge amount of preparation.  But there are companies that will put one on for you, like this one.

  • Thanks again,

Why cant I buy that? i thought they released those drones with that purpose. I have a client who wants a drone show, what would you recommend its the best way to do this?

  • 3D Robotics

The best is probably the Intel Shooting Star combo, but you can't buy that. In terms of what you can buy, uGCS seems best for that.

  • Thanks a lot Chris! What do would you say its the best software for animations with swarms of drones today?

  • Did the tutorial ever come out?

  • Hi Chris,

    I have questions

    1. How I try that?? using Mission Planner?? This use MAVROS???

    2. How I connect multiple solo on one pc???

  • Cool, I will write you an email. Thank you so  much.
