Has any one played with the v911? Just ordered one and thinking about making a new circuit board for it. Making it a really cheap open source drone. What do you guys think?

  • Took me some time to create it but here it is http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/v911-new-circuit-board-upgrade-ha...

  • can you link to the thread?

  • Looks like there is some interest. I'll open a thread in the forum for updates and more input :)
  • Definetly interested in this, would love a board if you come around to making it!

  • Morli: Don't know I'll test how much it can carry when i get it. But none of these components are heavy. And the original circuit board looks pretty bulky.

The reason for the post is to see if someone has done something similar and failed

Too Small,  will it be able to carry it all?

  • Quite an undertaking you set for yourself. I have one of these, and find it fun to fly as is. Keep us up to date!

  • I want to make the board, thats part of the project :) I'll keep you updated and start a thread if I get any where with this
  • It's an interesting idea.  You could probably install just the PX5 FMU and not the IO board and give it a shot.  You have to be careful about the weight of the flight controller itself on such a small machine.

Keep me posted on how you get on.  Maybe start a thread in the heli forum?
