Windsock iPhone App - Need beta testers

Work on the iOS 7 version of my popular Windsock iPhone app is progressing very nicely. In short it lets you see what the wind and other weather is doing hour by hour for 3 days in advance so you can help decide when to go down to your favourite flying site after work. I don't know about you but I have a couple of places I fly at and it depends on the wind direction and speed as to which equipment I take.

The 2.0 update I'm working on adds a whole backpack of new features like graphs, checkmark ticks on good flying condition, temperature warnings, rain warnings, map view, local sites, air dropping of sites and something I've been using a lot lately, particularly as it gets dark early are the sunrise and sunset times. It also has a feature where if you've got your hands full just shake the phone and it will read out how much daylight you've got left at that particular location you're in right now.

Beta tester slots are limited and you must be willing to ping me an email if you find any bugs, also you need an iPhone running iOS 7.  If you're interested in helping me test and play around with this exciting new app please sign up at http://tflig.ht/1dhSGJF Thanks guys :-) Also the app works globally so your physical location isn't important for this.

  • Thanks Richard and I've replied.

I'm only up the M11 in Harlow :-)
  • Awesome, thanks Steven :-)

Sorry I forgot to send you the introduction email with my email address on it. Let me know if you got it ok?

  • Loving the "Siri Shake" feature.

What email address do you use for feedback please Richard?

It really is a great app.
  • Patrick, I've been thinking about a web version or maybe a native android version. If there is demand I will! :-)

  • Thanks Steven and Patrick and everyone who signed up. The response to the beta program has been great! I've released the beta to the first round of beta testers and I'm still catching up from all the feedback. Hoping to add more of you in the next build tonight. If you've signed up don't forget to log in to TestFlight from your iPhone and add it as a device. This gives me the ID of your iPhone so I can let the app run on your iPhone.

  • I like the idea, but I'm on the android platform :-(

  • Signed up :-)
