Hey, everyone.  I've got my X8R seemingly working well with the Pixhawk for basic controls and some flight modes on sbus.  I haven't flown it yet.  I'm curious about how to trigger RTL with a switch.…Continue

Hey everyone. I've got all the parts I need to wrap up my F450 build, except for my first radio.  I'm planning to fly this thing in all modes, including FPV.  I'm currently using an APM 2.6 until my…Continue

(my Elecraft KX3, state of the art, 160-6m software defined radio transceiver.)

Ham radio led me to UAV's in 2013.  Weird, right?  Well what happened was after spending 20 years as an IT tech and consultant, I decided that ham radio would be…

Hey, saw that you're in SoCal. We have a local SD Drone group that flies at least once a week, and then we have monthly meetings and discussions and what not. We also collaborate with the local FAB LAB, so there's access to a laser cutter, 3D printers and a nice big workshop. Here's a link if you're interested: http://meetup.com/drones

Hey, thanks for the information, Tyler.  I'll check it out for sure.  I'm in the Palm Springs area, so I could make it down there for some gatherings.
