I was going to adapt a UAV autopilot but decided to install the trio autopilot system in my aircraft

Tim, thanks for the reply. What servos did you use? How many hours do you have on the install now? Has everything worked smoothly?

Hi Dennis,

My AP is working fine, finally I used big servos from HobbyKing:

These are powerful enough, maybe not so solid under heavy usage but at their price is no real hassle to replace.

I have manual modes selection for stabilize and loiter and goto/navigation in Andropilot tablet software but I don't use this much.

Let me know if you need other info.

I use navaid in wing leveler and in nav mode to intercept a course line or go direct to navaid with the lowrance gps with command bars to the is as smooth as the more expensive avionics I have used in bigger it intercepts a course, the command bars in lowrance show turn and once course line is intercepted the wings roll level and you are on course....the dampning is perfect. I can takeoff....go right into wing leveler mode with a push of the button....maintains runway heading....then when on course is given...punch another intercepts...your done.
Only problem is you can't get updates for lowrance anymore...they abandoned their customers....thank you garmin....
Still a great tool for vfr though.

What kind of plane do you have...

If you haven't decided on a efis look at talos avionics introductory well....

I never used fy21.....I went to the trio system

If you are building a pulsar composite you are going to be yourself a favor and put in what works...trio systems work well and their are others...good used systems are available

I am sure, that Pixhawk will work ok with LSA plane. What kind of servo you plan to use?
