A little Success with Arduino Ethernet , Vapix 3 and PTZ camera for Telemaster

Plan is to mount under fuselage of Telemaster 12' and Mugin when it arrives.

Camera Position is being controlled by Arduino via ethernet, Pan, Til,t Zoom  , and record to local SD,and  h264 stream, works so far.

Nice thing about this camera is its speed. Also does great with its built in video stabilization.

My plan is…

Hey, thanks for responding.  I'm working with a couple of these cameras too and was wondering how far you got in stripping it down, if you were able to figure out the connector and use the camera without the POE power board, etc. There is a lot more than just power going through that connector. The power board is 'smart' and contains signaling about the power available, maybe a temperature sensor, and also the Ethernet magnetics so it would take a little bit of doing. It seems like it would be pretty cool to actually get one in the air.
