Hi Gus,
I haven't worked on this in several years. Nevertheless - it is a relatively simple concept which you should be able to get working again without a ton of effort. You just need:

1) A way to hook the UART feed from your drone to a TCP or UDP socket on the Internet.

2) A server which will accept network connections from your drone per (1) and will shunt that network traffic back into a data feed that your MavLink program can read.

I used an Android in my implementation but had a lot of difficulty with the USB OTG drivers at the time, as well as problems with the physical connection strength of micro USB. Things may have improved recently, but the ultimately better solution would likely be to use a piece of dedicated hardware like the Particle Electron.

Thanks James for reply. I am in no way an rc hobbiest or pilot. I am a RC crasher if anything! I've got the two bebops and love'em but thats hardly flying. I am now getring into fixed wing so found reading on your stuff interesting. I am also looking into ANDRUAV and got that working, well on the bench anyway. Its quite good. I do have a guy whos going to do the tech stuff as in Australia there was a mining boom and bust now those companies are moving imto Agricultural and over charging misleading and being dicks. Abd farming here like anywhere is hard abd when its good its great when its bad its bad for years. So cost and service is where we are coming in to try and help while being profitable. We'll see how it goes.

Anyway hope your future is bright and if that was just a prodject look forward to seeing your developments change lives in the future. All the best.
