"Still haven't found a real solution. One option is to log the raw pressure values and then convert it to height. This gives the 100% barometer height and not the one combined with the accelerometers and appears to be more accurate. But this…"

"I'm having basically the same issue. 117m barometer height from reference point, but proper survey says 128m. Did you end up finding a solution?"

"Thank you for your feedback. Line 711 in the mavproxy.py code shows (rin, win, xin) = select.select(rin, [], [], mpstate.settings.select_timeout) I think to go forward quick I will create a Linux VM."

"If I recall correctly my problem was with the select() function used in the Python code of MAVProxy. According to the documentation for the select() function, it only works for sockets on Windows, which unfortunately I am running. On Linux it works…"

Pixhawk Altitude Accuracy

HiThrough a number of tests (comparing with a fixed reference point) I noticed that my Pixhawk can have an altitude error of up to 9%. This meant that if I aimed to fly at an altitude of 100m I could in fact be flying at 91m. This is not always the case and sometimes the error is closer to 5% but I am sure its never much smaller than 5%. The error is always negative, it always flies lower than expected. When we arm the copter the altitude displayed in MP resets to zero and after the flight, it…See More

Jan Swanepoel replied to im's discussion DJI A2 with Pixhawk?
"Hi Todd, Have never looked back since getting the Pixhawk. It truly is an amazing autopilot, we have now stopped looking for autopilot related issues and started focusing our attention on the reliability of our ESC and mechanical parts because it…"

Jan Swanepoel replied to Nadav Assor's discussion Sending messages from another program into MAVProxy
"You could write a python module that you run with "module load" or you could write a small udp program that connects with a port that you provide in the "--out" command line option. Your program will then need to generate mavlink…"

Jan Swanepoel replied to im's discussion DJI A2 with Pixhawk?
"No, we used a couple of different brands but if I remember correctly we now use the flyfun ESC. Some other tips: - Keep in mind that pixhawk does not yet fully support SBUS and you might need to use a PPM encoder (can also get it from 3DR). But…"

Jan Swanepoel replied to im's discussion DJI A2 with Pixhawk?
"We have done just that about 2 weeks ago. Removed the over priced and faulty A2 and replaced it with a Pixhawk. I doubt that you would be able to use the DJI compass/GPS or IMU unit. Although they also use a ublox GPS module they use their own…"

MAVProxy exception

HiI have recently installed MAVProxy and played with it a little. Upon running I get the following:Failed to load module: No module named wp... (and some other modules, rally, fence and terrain) but read in a post here that its because I did not install OpenCV yet.Anyway I can still use MAVProxy and tested it with a UDP connection:mavproxy.py --master="com27" --out=localhost:14550which works fine, but when I want to forward it to a com port with:mavproxy.py --master="com27" --baudrate 115200…See More
