Not sure how to search on this or if this has been discussed before. So I finally put together my quad with the APM2.5+ and have flown it a few times and while I am flying it there is this random…Continue

Sorry for the slow responce, your choice of frame is great I have been flying mine for about 1.5 years and have had no complaints. It is well desigened and has allot of room to do whatever you want. I like the cover it looks good and is great for protection of the electronics. I do have other pics if you want to see how I mounted stuff.

Good luck and have fun.

NDVI (and derivatives) can be a very useful tool in precision ag. I currently use an index based on the visible spectrum that works well with my precision ag consulting. But using the visible spectrum has its limitations (able to identify shifts in productivity, but unable to quantify the level of productivity). Basically, I'm able to define management zones, but unable to say whether they are high-yielding or not. NDVI is the next step, especially with variable rate populations, nitrogen, and weed-control.

My goal is in line with your train-on-thought...use affordable UAVs to capture high quality imagery that typically is either cost-prohibitive or poor resolution.

P.S. My background is in Agronomy (crops and soils) with very little experience with software, electronics, etc....well actually enough experience to get me in trouble.

Keep in touch.
