Warning! Loctite eats plastic

Posted on October 28, 2011 at 12:30pm 23 Comments

Maybe this has been posted before, but I was unaware of this.

I have been assembling my quadcopter and as advised have used red loctite # 271 to lock the metal nuts and the prop mounts.

I have used it all up and bought some blue loctite #243 and have used it on some of the nylon nuts last night and have just…

Hi Martin,

Sure thing. Now the stupid question, which one is the main forum?

Would you like to get in touch by email: t.gkikopoulos@dundee.ac.uk

thanks

PS I see you are in kinross, so not that far away. Maybe a coffee would be suitable somewhere in between Dundee and kinross. Cupar maybe?

Hi Martin,

I will be off flying down near Edinburgh tomorrow so I can buzz past Kinross on the way ... what was it in particular you were having an issue with?

My experience so far is with APM 2.5 and 3.1x firmware on a quad ... will at some point be moving onto pixhawk etc and also planes as doing reasearch at Edinburgh Uni related to UAVs and land use.

Regards,

S. G-P

Hi Martin~~
I tried to let my Pixhawk work with CHDK (E38_APM.bas)  such as this link~~
http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/using-aux-pins-as-relays-for-chdk?id=705844%3ATopic%3A1559553&page=17#comments
BUT, no matter how I try to do, my camera doesn't work.

In the Discussion, you said that you can let your machine work, so can you please tell me how did you set your CHDK, Pixhawk and paremeters?

I already talked to opiq, but he still doesn't know what happen.
He said he doesn't use Pixhawk with arducopter, he only ues it with  arduplane firmware.
My Pixhawk is for arducopter.

In MP, I have set :

CAM_DURATION: 1

CAM_TRIGG_DIST: 3

CAM_TRIGG_TYPE: 1

RELAY_PIN: 54

and I plug the cable into AUX OUT 5 in Pixhawk.

PS: I can let my camera take pictures by using my APM and CHDK (E38_APM.bas)
But it is just for test.

THX~~
