Hi Mirko... I'll be happy to help you... and I'll start telling you that it would be much better to buy a Pixhawk instead than the PX4, even if the hardware is the same, I obtained much better results with the pixhawk, especially in altitude hold, probably because the PX4 is an uncased board and the pressure sensor is exposed to the wind and flows of the propellers. Moreover i suggest to buy the 3DR GPS with mag and a couple of 4 and 6 wires DF13 cables of lenght 20 cm and up, you'll need them if you want (and i suggest) to put the GPS on a mast for electric interference reduction.
Do you already know what frame/motors/esc are you going to buy?
I have researched for 5-6 months and have purchased almost everything....only small bits and peaces to finalise the system. iCharge 106B+; 6S 10Ah 25C& 16Ah 15C; 3S 1.8Ah (for the PX4 & Rx); Taranis x9d, X8R (will purchase antennas) 3DR PX4 - GPS&Comp - 433Mhz radio 200A PDB (will purchase additional PDB with BEC 5V & 12V) 12AWG wires CF frame for X8 coaxial 9 x iPeaka 50A Opto 9 x iPower MT5208 320Kv 1855 CF Slow fly Quick release prop mounts & have 4 iPower MT4114 700Kv for playing around and making of one smaller X4 for fun flying and practice!
The Taranis & x8r & the PX4 where connected and working fine, but I wanted to test 1ESC & motor without using mu batteries, instead I connected them for testing and setup on a Car battery (12V-13V, 44Ah). 1st set (ESC & 4114) was going smooth and worked fine, I later changed to a MT5208 (52) and something was wrong! The 52 start making mechanical noises while turning and I switched it off. Now it looks like the bearings are damaged. Also the PX4 has a yellow light flashing (RC failsafe)!? I'm planning to re-set the tarannis & X8R, charge the 16000Ah batt and use it for testing, and separately run the PX4 & X8R with my 3S battery and try a new set of ESC & 52, all connections soldered (the first time there where connected with AC high-amp electrical clamps - but maybe there was a bad connection).
Could I use the Car-Battery for the 106 charger? Could I use the car battery charger & or is it an absolute must not to use more than 10A as declared (The el. equipment usually draws only A as much as they need + on the 106 there is an option to discharge-recharge with car battery)
