"Im also trying to find a definite answer to this. One forum says to divide the reported rpm by (poles/20). So my 8500 becomes 6071 (28 poles). Im not totally convinced and would like to find a more convincing answer."

Lidar and mission height

HelloI have to execute a mission above a forest but I'm not sure the right value to assign  to the height of the mission. Should I consider the max trees height (30m for example) and add a security height (10m for example) to be safe. I have a Lidar mini from benewake whinch has a 7m outside range installed under the model facing down.I'm afraid of the possibility that if there is a "clear" area in the forest, the model will go down since it doesn't detect a tree.
