I like...  Where can I get?

Hi Crispin,

I don't yet have a release date. It will be soon and I will announce the release date on DIY Drones and notify everyone that has inquired. We are still adding a few features as well as support for other popular flight controllers before the initial release. We are test flying everything and will be posting more videos and photos soon.

Thank you for your interest.

Rick

That looks really impressive! Will it be open source? Can you give more information on the hardware? How about configurability? One thing I don't see in the video - maybe you have forgotten to implement it...: Callsign! If using high power video transmitters, in many countries a HAM license is required and then the callsign needs to be visible. Callsign is also good if you use a ground station recorder to document mission, e.g. in SAR. So is time of day (not only elapsed time) and position display. Position display led me back to a "unplanfully landed" copter a few times, when I still had a stable video link but no telemetry link...

I want it. what will be the retail price?

Is this OSD ground station based or is it onboard the vehicle?

Thanks guys.

While the ExtremeOSD is not open source at this time it is a future consideration. Hardware final release specifications are forthcoming. It is an ARM SoC with built in video and color graphics capabilities. Call sign’s/station ID's have not been forgotten. The current position is displayed as LAT and LON.

The MSRP is $399 and it is entirely onboard.

As you mentioned in your first post that your hardware has dual core DSP does that means this module is able to perform Object tracking???
