UAV flying with HappyKillmore GCS (manuel mode) & my AttoPilot IMU flying wing

2nd day testing the system and everything is working great, still running default tuning on the AttoPilot. Love the auto launch option :)

Nice setup!  What cam and video system did you install in the plane? The cam seems really good quality.

Thanks Tom :)

Camera inside the wing is a Samsung WP10... its rubbish, field of view is too narrow and you need too much altitude to get a nice overlap for mapping. The camera with the live video is just a $30 camera from china, almost identical to the "CCDkiller" CMOS camera they sell in hobby king with the P/T setup.

Video transmitter is 200mw 5.8ghz, that system just tacked onto the top of the plane, cam and vtx are powered by the 1cell 160mah lipo you can see in the video at the end.

Ive used a panasonic fx38 for mapping before and it was 10x better, but dirt ended up in the optics and yeah, I could see that i'd go through alot of cameras, I needed something robust.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Very good for a $30 cam. I liked that the brightness did not vary with the earth/sky as it does with CCD types.
