However the values I was getting on my Ardustation for cruise at 50% and were higher than I expected. Then when I switched to FBW-B, with the stick at 50% resulted in lower than expected cruise speed. Obviously I have some work to do there. Return to launch worked well. there was a dramatic dive from an altitude of about 190 meters, to the desired 100 meter RTL altitude. The Ardupilot navigated it's way back home very well, then didn't exactly remain on station around the home position. It didn't want to fall in line and loiter around. Any comments anyone would care to share on these behaviors for FBW-B, and RTL would be welcome! The autopilot consists of Arduino micro-controller based boards and sensors consisting of the main autopilot "ArduPilot V2", an IMU 6DOF (inertial measurement unit) "ArduIMU+ V2, a differential pressure sensor to tell the autopilot how fast were going and tell us what our battery voltage is "ArduPilot Shield V2",and a GPS unit, to tell the autopilot where it is in 3D, a uBlox 5. With the exception of the "ArduPilot" main board available at sparkfun.com, all other autopilot hardwware is available at store.diydrones.com! Essentially, the ArduPilot in this case maintains commanded bank and pitch angles, constrained to within user programmed maximum values, based on user transmitter stick deflection.<br /> <br /> The user programmed values for this flight were 45° maximum bank, +10° to -15° pitch.
