Hi All,
Before posting an issue or a problem in the ArduRover Discussion Forum, please check the wiki table of contents, review the firmware release notes in the subforum, and search that subforum for existing answers to your question. Help avoid duplicate threads by finding other members with the same issue and their solution.
When formulating your post, use a descriptive title such as "rover will not navigate to waypoints in the Auto mode" (not "HELP!" or "Problem").
Please include the following information to help diagnose your query:
- Describe the problem you are having. What is the expected verses the observed behavior?
- Provide hardware information such as the brand and version of your autopilot, GPS, radio, and compass, as well as any other pertinent details about your rover setup.
- What version of the APM: ArdurRover2 firmware version are you running?
- For navigation issues, provide your tlog and/or dataflash log. Click here for instructions on retrieving a dataflash log.

Holes are 4 mm dia and 10mm spacing. It is a nice chassis.
@Bob,
I built two of them for customers, but never measured the distance between the holes:-(
Make sure that you mount the GPS/Compass module at least 3 to 4 inches above the chassis to prevent the motors' magnetic fields from interfering with the compass.

Getting my rover going, I will have time to dive deeper into the code now and see what is ailing the skid steer options and other peripheral problems, looking forward to playing skid steer for a while...
@RoboBill,
At one time the ArduRover2 Developers considered using a PX4flow module to implement a speed and direction flow function, but we have not moved ahead with the project at this time.

@TCIII
Thanks for the update. Blazing a SLAM trail is way over my head. Another possibility is the PX4Flow. If I mounted it a few inches off the ground facing down, could it measure speed and direction? Could it be used with the mission planner?
Thanks
RoboBill
@RoboBill,
I think that the original intent of the LIDAR-Lite was for range finding, but you might be able to use it as input for a SLAM function.
