Víctor Mayoral commented on Víctor Mayoral's blog post Towards ROS-native drones
"Hi Jerry, none of the three points. I believe that going through the article again might help.
As for the source code, it's not open source just yet. We'll do so once we're ready. Contributors will get early access to the codebase so If you're…"

Víctor Mayoral commented on Víctor Mayoral's blog post Towards ROS-native drones
"Hi Shawn,
I guess you could say so but we don't want to be too ambitious. Rather than creating a whole new stack, for now It'll be more about porting the existing flight stack to a more ROS-friendly environment.
In the future, ideally,  the whole…"

Víctor Mayoral commented on Víctor Mayoral's blog post Announcing the Erle-Rover Gazebo simulation
"Hi Gary,
The sensor mounted is a Hokuyo LIDAR. We've used it to translate the simulation in real scenarios and worked nicely. Erle-Brain 2 had enough computation capability to run the ROS, the autopilot and process the samples coming from the sensor…"

"JB,
I have no experience with the pi compute modules but sounds like an interesting idea. Will give it a though.
Kabir,
No it does not unless you apply a lot of force. The header and the spacers seem to do a pretty good job."
