Hi guys, a newby to multi's and apm here. Having lots of success along with a few mistakes but no crashes yet :-)
I need to fly by absolute alt because many of my waypoints are below home. I tried entering negative relative alts but that doesn't work. I have read many references to a absolute alt check box but the only alt (abs) box I can see in mission planner is the one on the flight plan page under the home location which asks for an altitute. Is this it? By entering my home alt here, do I then enter waypoint alts as absolute?

I'm pretty sure that negative waypoint altitudes will work. I've never had the opportunity to try that but I've had reports from at least one user that it does work. Altitudes go negative reasonably often just due to barometric drift and I haven't heard of it causing any more problems than the occasional display issue when looking at the kmz file afterwards in google earth.
