I am currently working on building my first quad and am planning on using the AC2836-358 880Kv motors, but can not find there pole count. It is going to take too long to get the 30 amp jdrones ESC and before I purchase a different ESC I want to ensure that they will have the proper timing. Does anyone know the pole count for these motors?

There's nothing special about those motors. Any 20a plus aircraft grade esc should be able to drive them. The ESCs figure out the timings themselves. Although some allow you to change the programming to be slow, medium, or fast. They normally come with medium timing on by default, and it's recommended for multicopters.
