I'm looking at a small solution as far as video TX/RX and was looking at the Rangevideo.com 2.4GHz 10mW audio/video transmitter and receiver setI was looking for at least a 3mile range with the user of correct ground antenna.Anyone tried this solution?

I already tryed this tx. The range you can expect is about 500m. It' very tiny and you can have it mounted directly on the camera like the ones proposed by rc-tech.
Rc-tech people says that you can expect 1000m with 8db patch antenna.
About the receiver, Daniel Wee in this video say that this one is one of the best receiver with a very high sensitivity.
It is in my equipement and work great.
If you have other devices watch for frequencies, there are different setup and the only common channel is 2450MHz.
