Hello!

I have a big problem

I connect my boards to USB port.

Rx/Tx together blink 3 times and nothing ... everything power down except the blue Led from ArduMega and the red, yellow, blue on the red board.

It is very strange because I put code well before and all Leds were blinking.

I don't understand why it worked before and now anymore.

P.S When I tried to setup my receiver with configurator, channels didn't move.

Help

Thanks

Update :

I waited 30 minuti and now it works in serial monitor and configurator and when I want to upload the code I have thsi message :

avrdude: stk500_paged_load(): (a) protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x14
avrdude: stk500_cmd(): programmer is out of sync

I think i have the same problem. Check this topic :

Sounds like your board is browning out from excessive drain. Make sure you're powering the RC pins with an ESC.

Hello!

@Alex

Yes I have the same problem. I spent a lot of money to solve the problem (2 boards) and it's the second one with the same issue.... I don't know what to think about this..

@Chris anderson

I will try it but the problem seems to be bigger ....

Franck,

If you want you can send the boards to me and I can look at them. There are thousands of these boards out there and I haven't seen this problem before, so I assume it's something odd about your setup. But I can verify them for you on my PC if you'd like. Just PM me...

Thanks Chris!

I appreciate your help

I would like to try something before.

When I'm ready, I PM you.

Thanks

@Chris

I just purchased full ArduPilot Mega kit this month, done all solider work, upload the APM 2.1 and all well success. I have done most of the APM's test suite but yesterday when I uploaded new updates AM 2.11 into AMP board it takes long time and can not upload in it.

The following is the message from Arduino 22 monitor:

Binary sketch size: 5136 bytes (of a 258048 byte maximum)
Binary sketch size: 5136 bytes (of a 258048 byte maximum)
avrdude: stk500_2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500_2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500_2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout

What's wrong that possible happened and any way that I can do trouble shooting ?

Gus, there could be a few causes. Have you run through the debugging tips in the manual (bottom of this page)?

But I'm not sure why you'd be using Arduino at all. We've moved to direct firmware loading via the Mission Planner. Are you following the manual

Dear Chris:

Many thanks for your help. I am sure I have been successfully downloading AMP software many times and also tested CLI without any problems. On receiving this new board, I was trying to upload the firmware loading via the Mission Planner but it does not allow me to do that because at that time it told me that firmware update only for APM 1280 not 2560 so alternatively I tried to use Arduino as I have been purchasing and experience of using Arduipilot 2.60 version before.

I tried to use Mission Planner as u suggested but no luck. It told me my APM board not a 2560, not a 1280 so I believe my APM has been crashed and can not be uploaded any firmware any more.

Any suggestion that I can short it or empty it and reload APM firmware?

Can I sent it back to DIYdrones customer support for RMA issue? I have following all instruction from the manual and can not solve the loading firmware problem.
