Can stock turnigy 9x receiver initiate RTH when it loses signal?

Like the title goes: "Can stock 8ch turnigy 9x receiver initiate RTH when it loses signal?"

What about the 6ch version? (on some older 6ch receivers ppm on bat pin is allegedly available)

If so how to set it up, are there any tricks maybe?

Hope you guys that own this transmitter and apm2 can help me out.

Thanks!

No you can not with a stock 9x but if you get a FrSky module and receiver that do CPPM you can do it.

Well according to this demonstration it does work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVKtAttbBa4

The question is how did they set it up..

Yes you can. You must flash your PPM firmware on the APM2 board with the latest PPM firmware.

Once you do that, throttle failsafe and RTL work perfectly (I have a stock 9x, with original radio module and it does failsafe fine).

See instructions:

2.2.68 is the latest firmware.

Thank you for the answer.

I'm thinking of buying also the Crius all-in-one pro. It has Arduplane 2.40 ported by Jean-Louis..

Would you be so kind and look into the code if it is set-up like that so it will trigger RTH on loss of signal?

I would be eternally grateful! :)

And another thing Andreas what is your max range with the stock receiver?

I have no idea if the Crius will work with the 9x failsafe. But there's an easy way to find out: connect it (no props), power it up and at 75% throttle, turn off the TX. If it keeps spinning, you have a problem. If the motor stops, the failsafe worked.

Whether that triggers RTL, is something you can see on your GCS when you cut throttle.
