Mission Planner is useful to plan photogrammetry fly nowadays? Maybe future?

To fly an area at regular strips, and make a photo at every strip at regular distance, e.g. 80, 100 meters

Thanks

There is a camera calculator that gives you the distance between the lines of the waypoints so you the wanted overlap of the photos.

That is good function, then use the grid function to make a pattern.....personaly i would like to see the option for Zamboni style turns at the waypoints instead of the present function.

i´m currently doing my mapping with zamboni turns and the accuracy is way better..but then it is manual work with the wp

Search the forum and you will find some people using zmboni

What photogrammetry software do you use for the mapping?

I have tried many  but i think that Autopano
gives the best result, Ptgui is another great program.

I´m using Photomod Lite, Agisoft Photoscan is a good option for a low price but only DEM and orthophoto.

What do you use for mission planning?

I'm trying to make my own drone now. Before today I've ordered flights  to other partner. So I don´t use any planner still. I will begin with Mission Planner Software
