Recently i switched from flying quads to tricopters mainly because i have taken a strong interest into FPV. Here is my last fpv video...
I have two ArduCopter 2.0.xx tricopters at the moment. Both fly well with the exception of yaw issues... However, this post is not about yaw.
What i would like to know is if it is ok to fly a Tricopter without A GPS or compass attached. They both have them but i really only need the ArduPilotMega for flight stabilization now, not the navigation.
My second quastion is if someone could recommend a controller with stabilization that will work for tricopters. I know there are seceral quad boards that offer it but did not see any that worked with tri's as well.
I know of at least one company that offers a moded kkcontroller that works with tri's and you can also get a stabilization/navigation unit for it as well.... but by the time you buy the kk controller and the stabilization/navigation unit you got about $400+ into it. For that price I would just stick with ArduCopter as i already own and know those.
