I have an APM2 with latest firmware. If I switch to stabilization mode, then when I open the throttle the elevator moves gradually up and ailerons move so that the plane would climb and bank right.Am…Continue

"This is what happens if you are connected before it actually finishes booting...when APM connects it attempts to send the 3x enter sequence, but obviously if it isn't running yet, it falls on deaf ears...simply press enter three times quickly…"

"Hi Bill, when I tried to reset my APM2.5 using the info from the wiki it starts with the statement hit enter 3 times, but immediately starts outputting gibberish, "?Q?3barometer calibration complete...Q1Q?-{Q?Q#?Q} and so on...none of the menu…"

Strange throttle stabilization problem - can't solve. HELP!!!

I'm still struggling with this on my plane. When I open and close the throttle the senstivity of the stabilization changes. On closed throttle it is very little and on full throttle it is way too sensitive. Anything above half throttle and the plane starts pitching up and down and rolling left to right as the stabilization over-compensates. I have ArduPlane 2.70 on my APM2 and the latest Mission Planner. I have reset and erased my APM2 and started from scratch but no change. All servos…See More

"Enter terminal, type 'setup' 'reset' It also recommended that you then go into setup and type 'erase' to reformat the dataflash See http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/wiki/AC2_CLI"

Mike Mac replied to Andrew Parkinson's discussion How to reset / format APM2?
"I think that the Terminal tab using SETUP then Erase and Reset will do that. Before you click the Terminal tab button be sure and set the correct USB port number and 115200. You don’t need to connect first. When you click the terminal button…"

Bill Bonney replied to Andrew Parkinson's discussion Stabilization mode throttle controls aileron and elevator
"That sounds about right. If you are running with only throttle and the sticks in all other axis are centered the APM will keep level flight. see http://code.google.com/p/ardupilot-mega/wiki/FlightModesStabilize"

Throttle input affects sstabilization sensitivity

This is an update to my previous post as I have now realized exactly what the problem is.I have a nitro plane with APM2 fitted. If I switch to stabilization mode on low throttle, the control surfaces move very little (probably about the correct amount) to stabilize the plane as I move the plane about. But as I open the throttle the stabilisation effect increases proportionally so on full throttle the control surfaces move a lot (too much).I have tried throttle passthru in stabilize enabled and…See More

"Hi Bill. Yes all connected correct. Just double checked. Using a new DX8 with latest firmware, mode 2, and AR8000 receiver. It's just like I've mixed in elevator and aileron to throttle (which I haven't) but it only happens when…"
