MP 1.2.25 on XP using USB (driver is atmeaga2560.inf) says "Comx doesn't exist"

"Slow sampling would not remove the noise. Slow sampling with additional filtering would. So if the slow samples are sctually averages of 20 samples, or some other filter technique, then you would see the noise drop. Did you happen to sort this out…"

Michael,     I get the popup confirmation question (Do you really want to disconnect while moving?) when I am doing many tests during a one-hour flight. I just want about 30 to 60 seconds for each TLOG file so that when I run them through EXCEL later, I have a separate file for each test. It is troublesome to answer that question (have to move the mouse cursor around) - any way to disable that in a config file? Thanks much for your tremendous effort - we have very professional tools! DaveSee More

"Hi, That's OK :) I think it is a common shortcoming of most / all but the most advanced IMUs that they get confused in long accelerations or when moving in circles. Maybe if you know an IOS developer, you can ask him to put "that 3D teapot…"

Hi Dave, Good question about determining angle of attack and side slip from available data. It would be easy to do if the wind were zero, but the wind is going to make it tricky. You need to know the wind accurately. My wind estimation algorithm assumes zero angle of attack and side slip, so in steady state, I think if you tried to compute side slip and angle of attack, they would come out to be zero. You might be able to determine sudden changes in the angles.

I will give it some more thought, if I come up with anything, I will get back to you.
