"How about just flying a GPS and WiFi capable smartphone? You can use an app like RF Signal Tracker to log everything and there's no need to integrate with Pixhawk. Works for me."

Thanks for the feedback. I don't want to break the law. I have been researching via the CAA website and I stick to the rules governing Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS). With regard to my foamy's size and construction, the reality is that birds pose more of a threat to others.

Can you supply me the rule book backing up your statement? I would be keen to read it thoroughly. :)
