Compass/GPS near motors for storage?

I have a folding gps mast for storage. When it folds down it is CMs away from the motor. The compass is not powered when it gets folded. Will this affect the compass after it is folded back up and powered on? The reason I ask is I remember the DJI nazas require a magnet be rotated around compass to "degaus" it.

"I thought castle creations says spark is good for the capacitors? I own a couple helis on 12s and man they pop when plugged in. People were making resistors that plugged in before hand and castle said the contraptions were not a good idea. This was…"

"I like the idea of using the extra channels on my tx to turn things on and off. This is the switch I use to turn off my video tx when not in use. It can be used as an I/O or supply 5v from the rail. It can operate a bigger relays also for more power…"

Posted these on rcgroups but they came off my pixhawk powered multirotor so I'm going to try them here too :) One 3 min flight. I settled on 12" props so these 11s are up for sale. These are 11" props but it seems they are comparable in flight performance and amp draw to 10" slow fly props. $40 shipped to the Con US. Reply to this post or email me at w4hfv@juno.com

"Also you better check the swr on that antenna. Those handy talkie antennas like a pretty big chassis to work. I found this out when I used a chassis mount and a handheld antenna on my plastic motorcycle."

"Exactly, nice picture. I wired it without the RTS wire. It works only on Telemetry1 port. And keep in mind, that there is a lot of trouble with the SiK 1.8 and 1.8.1 radio firmware. It is recommended for the moment to downgrade to 1.7 until a…"

"Yes. Absolutely. I tried it today. No magic smoke, or any other suprises. You have to cross the TX,RX lines of course. I  let RTS unconnected because the wire was missing on the old style connector but i don't believe it will bother if you…"

Pinout of Pixhawk telemetry plug

I'm sure this question will be answered eventually in the wiki, but say someone wants to use the older style 3dr radios.  What is the pinout of the pixhawk telemetry plug?  The other end of the pigtail will be cut and soldered directly on the radio. Red is 5v.  The black are unknown.…See More
