"Euan - I also have a rubber oring on the nylon screw they attaches the gopro to the mounting plate on the legs. Its between the gopro tripod mounting plate and the mounting plate on the legs. I had the oring there to begin with so didn't have…"
"You have your go pro in the same place as mine, and attached to the same legs - did you get any vibes in your video first time out, and what did you do to fix it? I see you went with the rubber dampeners attaching it to the frame."
"Very neat video!
On a Y6 configuration is there any adverse aerodynamic effect to having the lower propeller working in the airstream of the upper propeller? Seems like the thrust of the upper propeller will constantly be slamming against the lower…"
"Hey John very cool. I grew up in Burien been to that park many times. Live in Port Orchard now building a Hex-copter at this moment. Fly mostly airplanes but love doing aerial photography so I need a better platform. Anyways like your videos."
"I'm sure it will fly really well since the the build looks true and straight. You can always mess around with weight reduction in order to increase your flight times but as long as it's balanced, tuned and has sufficient power it should…"
"Looking good! Let me know how the kk2 board works for you. I'm going to be using one on a micro boxcopter that I've been building. Also looks like you can reduce a lot of weight on the motor mounting pads"
"I think the frames look excellent and I like the idea of a molded structure. What is it made from? Also since these would be very good FPV quads a place to mount a gopro would really help. Maybe something recessed to also protect it from crashes.…"
