Jittery APM-controlled Gimbal

The title says it all. I am using a servo actuated gimbal with the APM as the controller, and the roll axis is very jumpy. It is not smooth, but seems to take large jumps, or steps. This doesn't…Continue

I have tried using visual mode and HTML Editor. I know nothing about HTML, so I tried pasting the new and old HTML code at the point in my blog post that I want it. I may be missing some code. Thanks!Continue

In flight planner, the actual number are gone in the first column of the command interface. Anyone know what this is about? I can post a screen shot later if need be.

A Bulletproof Failsafe, Switchable Power Supply, and Cutoff Switch for $10

After getting my plane stuck in a tree three times now thanks to Google Maps elevation errors, I wanted a way to shut down my aircraft remotely. My latest mishap resulted in my plane being held hostage overnight and over-discharging a perfectly good battery. The relay control with APM is no…

Dave,

Would you mind posting your Bixler project build? I'm looking to purchase a known good set of components so I can learn without too much wheel re-invention. I see the ARF Bixler at HK. Is that what you started with? If so, what did you add (e.g. batt, apm, telemetry, radio, servos, landing gear, etc)?

My goal is to practice flights that are as autonomous as possible. If that could include both take-off and landing it would. Mostly want to gain proficiency with the Planner and the APM with recorded telemetry. No FPV yet.

Thanks, James

THAT would be great! I'll take whatever you give. I have a line on a discounted APM2.5 with GPS and 3DR telemetry I'm hoping to get for it. Need to get a radio too. Thinking the Turnigy 9 Ch from HK. Look forward to your list.

Thanks!
