Hi Mark. I am working in collaboration with the University of the Philippines in Los Banos. We are starting to do research to demonstrate the capabilities of UAS helicopters and planes to carry payloads and do rapid assessment of agricultural fields for early detection of plant anomalies. Presently we have seen correlation of plant insects and fungal infections in bananas using our NIR cams. I presently have the small HDL32e installed in my helicopter which can be triggered remotely to scan soil terrain for efficient irrigation and possible effects of moisture on fruit bearing plantations. But lately we have decided to postpone our lidar project and concentrate on infrared signatures of various species.
