"Yes you can use other accessory but why would you want to besides the compass? Bogometer is already covered on 2.0 by GPS shield. mostly depends on copter design magnetic interference encounter by APM. Usually caused by ESC just get low EMIF ESC…"

"it real easy no need to use IDE just upgrade from mission planner by selecting the correct firmwear. Other option is to download firmwear file and point MP to the firmwear file, after the upgrade you will need to flash the PPM encoder or your ESC…"

"Euan: The AVR2560 runs at 16MHz.  The STM32F1 runs up to 72MHz.  I'd bet that virtually all instructions are 16 bits or more.  Lots of floats."

Hey OG, I was wondering if you were in Toronto these days, I'm trying really hard to make my quad fly with no success, everything works perfectly: GPS lock, xbee, radio modes, battery cells measurement, ESC calibration, compass, sonar.... I'm stuck at PID's, the copter takes off in a very sluggish way, no matter how I tweak the PID's I always end in a crash, so I thought I might as well pay someone for their time and save money on propellers. (Also save time in balancing them)

Please let me know if you are available. I am at Dufferin and Bloor, but if you want I can take all my gear to you. My phone number is 905 616 8482 (not long distance; Mississauga). As I said, I'm willing to pay for your time. All I want is to have the quad flying.

whats weird is i was flying a gu344 gyro, which is a triaxial gyro, and it was flying ok, not as stable as I wanted but at least it would fly.

800 grams of payload is too little, I need to lift up a 4 pounds camera and fly at least 10 min. in the air.
