Renato Aranghelovici replied to Christian Winkler's discussion FrSky inverted TTL APM2
"If by level you mean voltage, they are not important in this case. If you mean logic, i.e. reversal of high - low voltage values for logical 0/1, then these are already reversed in jD-IO. So, you don't need a max !"

Renato Aranghelovici commented on Joshua Ott's blog post T-Motor is looking for our help to develop UAV specific motors
"I think such motors ARE already in the market... the electric bike motors, have pole count in the same ballpark, and direct drive a 26" wheel."

Renato Aranghelovici commented on Sandro Benigno's blog post Why FRSky CPPM signal is so disappointing. [UPDATED]
"Yes, was my special design criteria for Frsky when XP firmware was issued. The reasons to move CPPM and related signals to lower channels pins, instead ch8 as before, are obvious: - people who need CPPM decodes at least the first four channels in…"

Renato Aranghelovici commented on Sandro Benigno's blog post Why FRSky CPPM signal is so disappointing. [UPDATED]
"D8R-II+ does not output CPPM natively, so you shouldn't be worried because you can't use it in this mode as is. However, the 27ms firmware can be applied on your receiver."

Renato Aranghelovici commented on Sandro Benigno's blog post Why FRSky CPPM signal is so disappointing. [UPDATED]
"When it comes to RC low pass filters, there is no such thing as optimum. Use any resistor in 10-47k range and capacitor between 1-10uF, the product of their values must be bigger than 0.02, the bigger the better, unless your OSD has a RSSI input…"

Renato Aranghelovici commented on Sandro Benigno's blog post Why FRSky CPPM signal is so disappointing. [UPDATED]
"ANY D8 receiver, since the first days in 2010 can be flashed with any Frsky firmware, nothing changed at hardware level, only pin ports added or removed."

Renato Aranghelovici replied to Christian Winkler's discussion FrSky inverted TTL APM2
"I am currently using D4R-II with Flyduino / MPNG without issues. You must bridge 3+4, not 2+3. PPM will be output on CH1 For D8RSP you already have CPPM on ch8 by design without any bridge. "

Renato Aranghelovici commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Best FPV video ever?
"The Brazilian guy, Gabriel is FPV, Horst is AV, LOS classic pilot always. Horst is flying very safe while Gabriel is crazy, banned from many forums. "

Renato Aranghelovici commented on Melih Karakelle's blog post Smallest Quadrocopter with GoPro
"Something should be is wrong... I own this motor, with 5x3 prop it is not even able to hover its own weight. At HK the recommended prop is 7x5, which is right.  Maybe you power it from 3s? "

Renato Aranghelovici commented on hazy's blog post I've ported MinimOSD to Remzibi's hardware
"" isn't MinimOSD cheaper than a Remzibi" Exactly this is the reason I want to run remzibi software on  MinimOSD, for the cases when two voltages and GPS are enough, and no other sensors are required.  "

Renato Aranghelovici commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Best FPV video ever?
"You might be surprised to find that this vide is not FPV ! Crazy Horst is definitely the biggest non FPV AV pilot, not enough known for his skills. He became famous whit his flight in the White House DC area (before 9/11)."

Renato Aranghelovici commented on hazy's blog post I've ported MinimOSD to Remzibi's hardware
"Why not the reverse... load remzibi software on MinimOSD, or create a GPS based, not Mavlink MinimOSD ?"

Renato Aranghelovici commented on Brian's blog post 3.3v Power Supply Options - What's recommended?
"I use this module for over one year simply connected directly to 1 lipo cell. Yes, directly ! No sensible overheating, even no heatsink or airflow. Used in house for tests for many minutes without cooling. The power is sensible bigger when fully…"
