Arducopter Build Power Questions

Hi all, I purchased an arducopter presoldered and tested kit from Fah Pah electronics during the first order group and am attempting to set it up over vacation. This will be my first time building a hobby kit and I have a few questions about the electronics install. I have built the frame including attaching the esc's and motors. 1. The 3s battery outputs 11.1volts and plugs into the power distributoin board. From there should it go to a voltage regulator or is 11,1volts ok to input to the…See More

Hi wbal57,

thank you for your message.

About your thread I think this could be the right place to propose items, there are several guys doing it. It is your attitude which could be hurting. Do you really think that guys which are proposing simple home made solutions could decrease your sells ?

Let see what chinese people will do if this device will ever be of any interest !

An encouraging attitude toward people who probably will develop alternative solutions, will be way more appreciated. You will for sure gain in popularity and will be sustained in your own developments. You will for sure have a feedback in several ways.

Sometimes I feel that several of my ideas were stolen. I mean of other people using my ideas, especially on piloting, without giving me any credit.

But I have credits in a lot of other ways. I even get a lot of hardware for free just as gift (to test :D ) for the improvements I could suggest. Sometimes I'm amazed how I am solicited about opinions I don't think to have or to be useful.

Finally I would like to point how much has been given for free to us all, from people working really hard. I could mention a lot, but limit to two : Andrew Tridgell and especially Bill Premerlani. Their work here is worth hundreds of thousands dollars, if not more.

Personally I can only be glad to have contributed a very little bit to this development. I had in return a lot !

Best regards,

Ric
