Sebastian Madgwick's Quaternion solution - Episode II

Posted on September 19, 2011 at 11:00am 7 Comments

I made nice progress - but not after having some bad experience.

As you may know I decided recently to replace DCM with the solution from Seb.

During my holidays in holland i got a terrible cold but i could work a little bit.

Not in terms of a total new framework but experience what to do and…

Sebastian O.H. Madgwick's Filter in action

Posted on July 10, 2011 at 9:24am 9 Comments

i have been struggling with gyro drift and up to now no real solution exists.

it effects the pirates and the newer arducopter2 code base because both build upon the same dcm implementation.

The usability should be considerably improved upon from the older versions..

But of course it's a matter of continual refinement.

hmm,
let's start at the begin.
the protocoll should be able to tell what firmware is installed.
from that result you can show the options available for the installed firmware.

the current look and feel is that from a geek - somewhere in the corner and as small as possible.
i would prefer a tabcontrol with pages added dynamically ...
my view - but showing all possibilities is for a beginner not what i would suggest.

the basic ideas are well done - need to organized in a matter which makes sense...
