1.2 Ghz FPV with 2.4Ghz control- Weekly Video #6
Last week(week 5) I tested out a new FPV system using 1.2 GHZ. It works great. The only problem I had was that it was locking out my 2.4GHZ control. So for the video I used my old 72mhz radio. Let's just call it glitch. It glitched me right into a patch of stinging nettles. So I ordered a low pass filter from Readymaderc.com. Then I commenced to building yet…

The BoxCopter Weekly #4
Wednesday, May 8th 2013
My wife made a comment about it taking a long time to assemble the BoxCopter and get into the air. So I figured I'd come up with a new prototype. This is it. A balsa h-copter that can fly with or without a box. Making things lighter and modular made for longer flight times and faster assembly. I did make things more simple but…

Chasing own drone with fpv mini quad
It's simple, put an apm2.5 on a mscomposite swift-II flying wing, launch it on a mission, put video goggles on, launch miniquad and start chasing :-)
Actually it wasn't so easy to find the drone in the sky, looking through the videogoggles. I needed some help from a spotter to get the done in my sights. Once locked in I could follow it fairly well…
Nice entry level FPV Quad
Another quad that i found on hobbyking. It caught my eye as it has a monitor inbuilt to the controller. I've seen a few concept controllers maybe this could work?
A nice shortcut to newcomers with a 3-axis gyro stabilization system.

3.5" LCD screen which matches some phones.Range is limited but i suppose some hacking might sort…

Space Glider - FPV glider dropped from a weather balloon
David Windestal posts a video where he uses some relatively high powered video and RC transmitters to guide a small foamie glider back to Earth after releasing it from a weather balloon. It wasn't entirely successful, but pretty cool nonetheless. Something I've always wanted to try.

Winter FPV at Castlewood Canyon
This is a quick video of a flight after some fresh snow in Castlewood Canyon State Park south of Denver, which was one of my favorite places to go as a kid. This is the first video I've posted using my new GoPro3 White Edition. It's taken me forever to figure out the right settings for color correction, since the raw video from this camera is normally flat…
