Here is a short video of poshold (loiter) in strong wind.
During the last two months I was working on the RTH and poshold code for MultiWii, which is finally released some days ago with the 2.1 release. The code is mostly based on the ArduCopter RTH and loiter code, with some optimization and tailoring to fit into an atmega328 controller.
I followed the evolution of the AC code since 2.5 and the things that Jason made with the code are astonishing. I would like to say thank you for keeping AC open source which helps other projects to evolve.
And some frightening stuff

Wow, congrats! Looking good!
What sensors are you guys using? I was under the impression MultiWii was gyro only? Obviously you have accels for leveling, mag, gps and baro.
Is it KK that is gyros only?
Where's your release posting, on RCG? I'd like to see it to see the reaction. Must be pretty good if you guys have never had these features at all before.
Hopefully you gave good credit in the code, cause Jason and a bunch of other guys have been working really hard on this for a long time. I think we're finally there!
Looks like a Paris board. We tried the cheap knock off Wii boards and they are just that, paper weights as this point.
Good job nonetheless.

Comment by eduardo on July 18, 2012 at 8:12pm Wow ... Position hold with an Integrator that work ... great .
i will test this new version as soon as possible.
i like very much the multiwii stabilization code than the AC.

Comment by Crasher on July 19, 2012 at 2:07am Oh my, another FC with autonomy to try. #spoilt
Great job.
Comment by Andras Schaffer on July 19, 2012 at 3:33am It is NOT a Paris board, it's just a simple Arduino Promini (328P) and a cheap chinese GY86 sensor blob (MPU6050+HMC5883l+MS5611)
MultiWii had acc+mag+baro for ages, the new func is the GPS poshold+rth.
Jack : Calibrating ESCs with a Lipo connected and with props ON is something that you usually pay for with stiches, regardelss of MultiWii or AC....
