Arducopter Pilotlamp based on Mavlink

I built a quadcopter based upon the TBS discovery frame, as the APM is located in the frame it is quite difficult to get hold of the status leds.
This is why I wanted to have some kind of Pilotlamp indicating the state of the APM.

I started off wih a prototype (Arduino pro mini with RGB led).

The above video is a small demo.

Plan is to convert it so it can be used with the Xaircraft Pilotlamp

To be continued...

  • which pin on the APM did u connect the led to ?

  • How did you fit your APM in the TBS frame and manage to balance it with the battery?

  • Id like to see your code as well... I've been working with the ardustation code, but it seems bloated.
  • Hey, would it be possible to get a look at your code? I'm trying to do the exact same thing with an ioBoard from jDrones.. They have an example but their code was a mess to get my head wrapped around.
