Please join me and other Bay Area UAV fans for a "drone hacking night" at the Ace Monster Toys hackerspace in Oakland. It will start at 7:00pm at the space at 6050 Lowell Street, Oakland. It's free!
I'll bring ArduCopters and ArduPlanes and am happy to help anyone with their own setups. Bring whatcha got!

This post inspired me to wonder if there is a hackerspace in Toronto. And there is, sweet!
Comment by Jack Crossfire on January 25, 2012 at 4:25pm The 1 annual meetup. The big question is does the hackerspace have CA glue & battery chargers?
Comment by Cool Dude on January 25, 2012 at 5:40pm I will be there. The website of this place says that it is open for visitors only on Thursdays. I really hope that they let me in as I will be driving all the way from Santa Clara.
Thanks
Comment by Jack Crossfire on January 25, 2012 at 11:03pm Thanks to all who came out. The highlight was seeing Jack's amazing monocopter flying autonomously. I hadn't realized it, but the secret to the autonomy is the robot camera on the ground that tracks it with a two-axis gimbal it as it flies. Here's a picture of that:
I wish someday we have meetup's in my country.

wow you saw MARCY 1 with your own eyes! must have been a special moment!
Jack has put so much in that project! video anyone of it flying (not from the camera control point of view) ?
Post more pics of the event!
