I created dronetrack to help a few pilots track their drones, had no idea thousands of people would start using it!
Here's a rough map showing worldwide usage:My next task is integrating APM remote control via GSM Mobile phone, which is currently going well. It gives the pilot unlimited control range (technically worldwide over GSM), extra sensor data from the mobile phone, as well as a fallback remote control, alarm, and of course tracking.

Thanks very much, Lilje!
@Patrick - Great Idea there, will see how it can be integrated in future development
@Eric - For now it's using the tech you already have (spare cell phone etc) to add value and remote control to your drone. DroneDeploy looks awesome
@Tommy - Indeed! Although I'm sure as it grows the whole map will be red :)
@Randy - Ardupilot has made it really easy to extend the platform, it's good to have choices :)
I've added a Web Applications page to the arducopter wiki with the known applications out there. If people know of more please ping me or email the drones-discuss email list (the address is on that page). Also if you're the owner of one of the applications on that page and don't like the description I've put there, again, just ping me.
Wow, there's really a lot of web services growing up around drones (and around ardupilot in particular). Very exciting!
besides dronetrack.org, uaviators.org, dronedeploy.com mentioned above there is also droneshare.com
No pins in Norway...? That's a surprise!
Is your next task similar to drone deploy?
Cool map..
