Hello there,

below is a quick tutorial on how to set up your telemetry over 3G/4G/LTE and use 3DR Tower to control your drone remotely.

To get started - follow these steps:

  1. Register an account with GlobalARC
  2. Download Andruav App
  3. Enter your access code into Andruav
  4. Click connect!

This video shows how to set up your own Android phone and connect it to APM or Pixhawk:

Hope you'll like having the option of unlimited distance telemetry and video streaming over GSM networks.

Let us know what you think of our GlobalARC system - www.globalarc.us

Best,

Easy Aerial Team

  • @Euan - we like using this tiny Android phone called Posh s240 for testing. It's super small, light and works on 4G.

Micro-X-S240.pngWe are also working on our own hardware that will weigh 2oz with a battery and be 2" x 1" in size.

@Ouroboros - the phone in the video is called Z18, but it's pretty limited actually. Posh s240 is MUCH better, however none of them can come even close to GoPro. They are there mostly for FPV video.

We are working on implementing GoPro - to GlobalARC connection through the android device onboard, so that you could get the actual view from the GoPro.

  • What's that tiny android phone? Is it a suitable substitute for a GoPro?

  • Dumb question - it needs a phone on the aircraft, correct? With a camera, if video is to be used?

if so, just how small a phone / tablet is there?
