Like to know your feelings on this new product for multi rotor craft?
HOBBYWING Skywalker just relesed this Powerful switch mode built-in BEC (the BEC voltage outputs from the S3 connector). The throttle range of each ESC can be calibrated to be suitable for different multi-rotor flying control systems transmitters. Maximum speed: 210000 RPM (2 poles motor), 70000 RPM (6 poles motor), 35000 RPM (12 poles motor). The only non OEM 4in one ESC on the market that I have seen. LIPO(2-4S)/NIMH(5-12 cells).

Wow, this is brilliant! I have been wondering if somebody would make something like this! This makes everything SO much simpler!

But why is it almost half-price at HiModel?

HiModel is like HobbyKing and use a price model that is more related to the actual production cost..

So... you're saying that Hobby Wing is simply overpriced?
Nice. But I wonder if it uses SIL MCUs like their updated ESCs (fentiums, flyfuns, etc...) cause I have zero luck with them in both the reliability and update rate dept.

Cliff, oh really? I heard other people saying they like those chips?

Comment by OG on July 25, 2012 at 11:27am obviously you would mount on the center of the copter due to the CG. all OEM mount there ESC in the center.
Comment by arashi on July 25, 2012 at 12:09pm @OG - It says I have to buy 5 minimum to get the $30 price?
Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.1296 members
