If you update to the latest Mission Planner (1.05) you'll see a cool new feature Michael Oborne has just added: integrated OSD video! Just select your video input device from your aircraft's camera feed from the Configuration screen (Planner tab) and it will replace the background of the artificial horizon on the GCS, turning it into a heads-up display instead, as shown in the left window above.
Pretty cool, huh? It's a virtual OSD!

Thanks Chris!
But without MiniOSD, is possíble?
If I not use MinOSD, it's only possibel when my Vrx is directly connected on my laptop and use VLC to show it under MIssion PLanner HUD?
Thanks!
Please see the OSD manual here.
Hi!
How to input my Vtx at APM2? How connect it?
Any tuto about?
Thanks!
Thank`s
i woudl suggest using s 3rd party product for this. as it wont bog down the pc as much. Eg AMCAP
Many of us uses the video with osd on board (ej minim); It's possible to configure the Hud window that shows only the video that comes from the plane? This is usefull to record the fly with the coordenates in case of lost the plane and we dont´t need to open another program to do this. (sorry my terrible english :))
Good feature for HUD!
My video capture setup seams to drop frames, but works well with AMcap ? I have a USB 2860 Device that can capture 720 x 480 @ 29.97 fps. When I capture a static screen shot (with OneNote) the video portion is blank.. This worked well in earlier versions, Thanks for the great GCS
Well done!
THANKS MICHAEL !
Have to try !! hope I can do it today.
ok, you can now double click the hud, and it will pop out.
